Fisheries Management Scotland Annual Conference 2019

“Salmon and People in a Changing World”

2019 is the International Year of the Salmon – a unique initiative which will bring people together to share and develop knowledge, raise awareness and take action to address the environmental and man-made challenges faced by salmon.

Working with partners in the Missing Salmon Project, the Fisheries Management Scotland Annual Conference will focus on how key pressures on wild salmon are being addressed and prioritised, drawing on international best practice.

The Conference will be followed by a Drinks Reception & Dinner hosted by Fisheries Management Scotland in partnership with Loop Tackle.

SAMARCH International Salmonid Coastal and Marine Telemetry Workshop

05 Nov

On behalf of the SAMARCH (SAlmonid MAnagement Round the CHannel) project, we invite scientists and fishery managers who are involved with telemetry work on salmon and sea trout to attend a technical workshop. It’s also an opportunity for those looking to undertake projects in the future to forge collaborations. The sessions will focus on sharing knowledge of current projects, new and emerging technologies, and maximising the benefits and opportunities of multiple telemetry projects.

The event is organised by Salmon & Trout Conservation, the Game & Wildlife Conservation Trust, and Atlantic Salmon Trust. SAMARCH is part funded by the EU’s Interreg VA Channel Programme.

Please visit the workshop website for the two-day programme and information on how to book your ticket and accommodation.
